-------- Example -------

Dear Representative Norton,

I am writing to express my concern about funding for the 988 Suicide and Crisis Lifeline. As a constituent of Washington, D.C., I believe that it is important for our elected officials to take action to address this issue.

In just over two years, the Lifeline has helped 10+ million people. However, only 9 states have passed comprehensive 988 legislation. To reach its fullest potential, 988 needs more sustainable funding to build up its infrastructure and staffing.

I believe that this issue requires immediate attention from our legislature. I urge you to take action by supporting sustainable funding for the 988 Suicide and Crisis Lifeline.

Thank you for your attention to this matter. I look forward to hearing from you soon.

Sincerely,
Kate Stanton
