Call for Additional Contributors: ACA Encyclopedia of Counseling, Second Edition

ACA is seeking contributors for a limited number of remaining entries in the forthcoming second edition of the ACA Encyclopedia of Counseling, to be published in 2027 as part of ACA’s 75th anniversary.

Entries are concise, scholarly overviews of no more than 2,000 words and will be peer-reviewed by members of the encyclopedia’s editorial team. Selected contributors will receive complete contributor guidelines and, when available, the corresponding entry from the first edition to use as a starting point for updating and revision.

How to Express Interest

Interested contributors should email a brief letter of interest to publications@counseling.org identifying the specific topic or topics they are requesting to write. The letter should briefly describe the contributor’s relevant background or expertise and confirm their ability to submit the completed entry or entries by January 5, 2027. A current CV or résumé must be included with the email.

Topics will be assigned on a rolling basis as qualified contributors are identified, so interested contributors are encouraged to respond as soon as possible. The final deadline for letters of interest is October 16, 2026.
