ACA Mentioned in Congressional Resolutions Supporting the Trans Community

Feb 17, 2026

On Wednesday, Feb. 11, Rep. Pramila Jayapal (WA-7) introduced H.Res.1058 in the House of Representatives while Senator Ed Markey (MA) introduced S.Res.604 in the Senate. These resolutions recognize the duty of the federal government to develop and implement a “Transgender Bill of Rights.”

The resolutions stress the importance of ensuring access to gender affirming care, preventing discrimination on the basis of gender identity, and creating laws that support trans and nonbinary individuals. ACA is mentioned in the resolutions as supporting best-practice age-appropriate gender affirming care.

We are proud to be part of affirming the rights of trans and nonbinary people, and we’ll continue to advocate for the LGBTQIA+ community’s access to affirming culturally appropriate mental health care. Join us in advocating against conversion therapy and urging Congress to support the Therapeutic Fraud Prevention Act, which would make it fraudulent to charge for this dangerous and unethical practice — Act Now!
