A New Learning Experience!

Effective January 2026, ACA is transitioning from our current learning management system (LMS) platform, Forj, to a new and improved platform, Elevate.  This platform will host ACA’s Learning Portal.  

The questions outlined below are designed to help you understand what to expect during the transition and how it may impact your CE access, course history, and more.

  1. Why is ACA moving to a new LMS platform?
    To provide a more modern, user-friendly, and reliable experience for continuing education participants. Elevate will allow better navigation, improved performance tracking, and easier access to on-demand content and certificates, as well as mobile accessibility and ADA compliance. 
  2. What is the name of the new LMS?
    ACA's new platform is called Elevate.
  3. When will the transition take place?
    Key dates:
    1. January 15, 2026: Soft launch of new platform.
    2. March 1, 2026: Full decommissioning of previous platform.
  4. Will I need to do anything to prepare?
    Yes. Please download completion certificates, transcripts, and any training material from Forj before March 1, 2026.
  1. Do I need to create a new account? 
    No. Elevate will use your existing ACA login credentials. 
  2. Will my login credentials change?
    No. Your ACA username and password will remain the same. 
  3. How do I log in to the new LMS?
    Visitlearn.counseling.organd log in using your ACA credentials.
  4. What if I have trouble logging in?
    Contact the ACA Education Team atprofessionaleducation@counseling.orgforassistance. 
  5. Is Single Sign-On (SSO) enabled?
    Yes. You will be able to log in to Elevate using your ACA member credentials. 
  1. Will my previously purchased or completed courses be available in Elevate? 
    No. Purchase history and access to previously purchased trainings will not be migrated. We encourage you to save any materials, transcripts and certificates before March 1, 2026.
  2. Will I lose access to any of my certificates or transcripts? 
    Continuing education history will not be migrated. We encourage you to download certificates from Forj before March 1, 2026, as access to that platform will be removed.
  3. Will my progress in in-progress courses transfer to Elevate?
    Progress in partially completed courses will not be transferred. We encourage you to complete any courses in progress before December 31, 2025. 
  4. Can I still access Forj after the transition?
    No. Access to Forj will end on March 1, 2026. 
  1. How do I find and register for a course?
    Once logged in at learn.counseling.org, browse or search by topic, category, or keyword. 
  2. How do I launch and complete a course?
    Click on the course title in your dashboard and follow the prompts to begin. Course instructions and progress tracking will be available on the course page.
  3. How do I print/download my certificate?
    Certificates can be accessed from the "Transcript" tab on your dashboard after course completion and evaluation.
  4. What if a course doesn’t load or has technical issues?
    Contact professionaleducation@counseling.org with the course title and a description of the issue.  
  1. Will live events be hosted in the new LMS? 
    Yes. Beginning in 2026, all ACA webinars and virtual events will be hosted in-platform. No separate Zoom links necessary!
  2. Where will I find recordings of live events?
    Recordings will be available in Elevate within 48–72 hours after the live event.

  2. Will there be a tutorial for using the new LMS? 
    Yes. A user guide and video walkthrough will be available starting in January 2026.  
  1. Will pricing or access policies change?
    No changes are planned at this time.
  2. Are there new features in Elevate? 
    Yes! Highlights include:
    1. Enhanced dashboard experience
    2. Mobile-responsive design
    3. Improved certificate management, including the ability to track and upload external CE credits
    4. Training recommendations
  3. Will I still be able to access Complimentary CE of the Month?
    Yes, this member benefit will continue through Elevate.
  4. Will my CE reporting (e.g., NBCC or NAADAC) be affected?
    ACA will continue to provide documentation that meets NBCC and many state licensing requirements. Please confirm with your board if needed.
