Mahzarine Chinoy, CPA, Chief Financial Officer at the American Counseling Association. In her role, she provides strategic leadership of the organization’s financial and IT resources.   

In her capacity as CFO, Mahzarine leads strategic financial planning efforts, leveraging her expertise in budgeting, financial analysis and risk management to optimize the organization's impact and sustainability. She is committed to fostering transparency and accountability in financial reporting, building trust with stakeholders and maximizing the organization's effectiveness in fulfilling its mission. In addition to her financial responsibilities, Mahzarine also plays a critical role in overseeing the IT function, leveraging technology to improve operational efficiency, streamline data management and deliver added value to stakeholders both internally and externally.  

Most recently, she was the Vice President for Administration and Finance at the National Women’s Law Center, a national gender justice organization. She served on the Law Center’s senior leadership team, where she led the visioning and direction-setting for the combined finance, compliance, human resources and information technology/operations functions. She was also part of the management bargaining team responsible for negotiating the Law Center’s first ever collective bargaining agreement. 

Prior to that, she was the Chief Operating Officer of the Minority Corporate Counsel Association (MCCA), a diversity and inclusion focused non-profit, where she managed a broad set of functions that included board relations, finance, HR, member services, communications, IT and events. She spent the early part of her career working at the firm of Veris Consulting (formerly Johnson Lambert) providing a full range of outsourced accounting services primarily to their non-profit client base.   

When not working, she enjoys travelling, hiking, cooking, and spending time with her husband, two daughters and a very spoilt golden retriever.
