Thomas Hohenshil National Publication Award

Background and Purpose

To annually recognize a person who has made outstanding contributions to the publication of counseling-related literature. 
 

Deadline: Monday, Dec. 10, 2018, 11:59 PM EST
Judges: ACA Awards Committee
Prize: $500 honorarium, complimentary ACA Conference & Expo registration (travel and lodging not included). Recognition and presentation of the award at the Conference.
Sponsor: Anonymous Donors via the American Counseling Association Foundation 

Eligibility, Rules and Criteria 

Nominations must include:

  • An assessment of the impact of the candidate’s publishing on the counseling profession.
  • Evidence of sustained publishing productivity.
  • Detailed information on major publication activities (may be a combination of the following):
    • Author or co-author of books, book chapters, journal articles and online materials.
    • Editor, co-editor, guest editor of books, journals and special journal issues.
  • Nominations must come from an ACA member.
  • The awardee must be an ACA member.
  • An individual can only be nominated for one award per year.

Nomination Guidelines

In your nomination submission, briefly:

  • Describe some examples of the nominee’s published works and their impact on the counseling profession.
  • Detail evidence of the nominee's sustained publishing productivity, including a list of the nominee's work.
