Its purpose is to provide a means of capturing the ideas, information and experiences generated by the annual ACA Conference and selected ACA Division Conferences. Papers on a program or practice that has been validated through research or experience may also be submitted. This digital collection of peer-reviewed articles is authored by counselors, for counselors. Factors That Affect Implementation of a Comprehensive School Counseling Program in Secondary Schools

The purpose of this article is to define the role of secondary school counselors and to define comprehensive school counseling programs (CSCPs), as well as to examine factors that affect implementation of a CSCP in secondary schools. Factors included in this paper are administrative support, role ambiguity and conflict, inappropriate job duties, and caseload.
