ACA-ACES Syllabus Clearinghouse

The ACA Syllabus Clearinghouse is a joint project of ACA and The Association for Counselor Education and Supervision (ACES). We will maintain syllabi on many topics from may different learning institutions. Our database will be updated continually with new and exciting courses and will provide a valuable resource to all counselors. Psychopharmacology

The course will provide students with an introduction to psychopharmacology, summarizing the basic concepts of the functions of the organs and systems of the human body and brain. The course incorporates an overview of drugs, their action, effects, use and abuse. Students will identify and assess the actions, effects, uses and abuses of legal and illegal drugs.
