Marital and FamilyTherapy
This course provides an overview of the history and contemporary application of behavioral and systems based marital and family. The course is designed to provide students with knowledge and skills to work with families and provide interventions and services to families at the micro practice level. The course also exposes students to the dynamics of contemporary family structures, living patterns and life styles. It challenges students to better understand their own family system and to examine some of their beliefs and values about what a family is. Learning methods will include: reading, didactic presentation, discussion, role-plays and case review.
