Helping Relationships - Methods and Techniques in Counseling
This is an introductory course committed to the examination and practice of the counseling skills needed by counselors and family therapists to help make the counseling session work. This course provides a system for planning the session and analyzing the counselor’s behavior. It presents skills, concepts, and methods designed to help the student develop concrete competencies and then examine their own counseling and therapy skills. The goal of this course is to provide and opportunity for the student to gain usable and useful skills central to the counseling process.
