Kimberly N. Frazier, Ph.D., LPC, LMFT, NCC is an Assistant Professor of Counselor Education at Texas A&M Corpus Christi. Dr. Frazier is a licensed professional counsellor (Louisiana), licensed marriage and family therapist (Louisiana); and, she is a national certified counselor. She has worked in a children’s crisis unit and has provided cultured centered interventions for pre-K classroom with the Greater New Orleans Head Start program. Additionally, Dr. Frazier is skilled in the use of culture centered interventions following disaster outreach services, such as efforts following Hurricane Katrina. Dr. Frazier has published articles on cultured centered counseling with young children populations and families, and on the use of culturally based counseling with children and families experiencing trauma and crisis. She serves on the editorial board for the Journal of Counseling and Development and the Journal of Mental Health Counseling. Dr. Frazier is President-Elect of the Association of Multicultural Counseling and Development and she will serve as president starting July 1, 2016.
