Arlington, Virginia: July 15-18, 2019
Are you an ACA leader? Are you interested in becoming an ACA leader?
The 11th annual Institute for Leadership Training (ILT) presented by the American Counseling Association focuses on preparing you to excel in advocacy with your Federal and State Representatives. We will also offer a variety of sessions that will help you learn about effective leadership, finance, social media and counseling ethics.
This three-day workshop, held in Arlington, Va., will help you strengthen the effectiveness of your division, region, branch or committee by emphasizing best practices in advocacy and government relations. When you leave, you will be equipped with the tools needed to competently and confidently represent important issues facing your counseling community.
At ILT, your advocacy skills will be developed and activated so that you can play a vital role in influencing federal, state, and local policies that support the advancement of the counseling profession on Capitol Hill and in your home district. You will put these skills into practice when you meet with your Members of Congress or staff on Capitol Hill during ILT. In addition, you can learn more about ACA’s goals and plans as you meet, and network with, members of the ACA Governing Council.
Professional advocacy is a key component of the work of all ACA members. The 2019 Institute for Leadership Training will help current and emerging leaders find the best ways to advocate effectively for the counseling profession. Don’t miss this opportunity to learn how ACA can support you in advocating for counseling!
RATES FOR ILT: $375
