North Atlantic Region

The North Atlantic Region, a region of the American Counseling Association, represents professional counselors who live and practice in the north atlantic part of the US, as well as the District of Columbia, Europe, Puerto Rico, and the Virgin Islands.

There are 10 states in the North Atlantic Region: Connecticut, Delaware, Maine, Massachusetts, New Hampshire, New Jersey, New York, Pennsylvania, Rhode Island and Vermont. ACA members who reside in any of these jurisdictions and belong to the ACA automatically belong to the ACA North Atlantic Region.

  • ACA Responds to Charlottesville Violence

    Aug 14, 2017
    On Saturday, August 12, 2017, a rally was held in Charlottesville, Virginia called, "Unite the Right." While the United States supports free speech and the right to peaceably assemble, this event was nothing of the sort. Violence, bigotry, and hatred were promoted by the organizers of the rally. The many injuries and the deaths of three people were evidence that this demonstration was designed to divide, rather than unite.
