ALEXANDRIA, VA…. Loyola University Maryland professor Bradley T. Erford, PhD, is the new president of the American Counseling Association (ACA), the largest nonprofit association for professional counselors in the world. His term is set for July 1, 2012- June 30, 2013.

ACA was recently invited to be one of a select group of organizations to participate in a joint Substance Abuse and Mental Health Services Administration (SAMHSA) - Health Resources and Services Administration (HRSA) listening session on the behavioral health workforce.

ACA President Don W. Locke has sent the American Psychiatric Association a letter providing final comments for the fifth edition of the Diagnostic and Statistical Manual of Mental Disorders (DSM-5).
