Adult Development & Aging

  • Tree of Knowledge
A Program in gerontological counseling provides students with the knowledge and skills needed to work with older adults and their families. Students are exposed to the psychological, biological, and socio-cultural factors that impact the aging process and human reaction to this process to better understand the needs and issues of older adults. Graduates of this program area are prepared for leadership roles in a variety of human services agencies, both in the private and public sectors, that deal with aging.
