With a focus on the clinical interview, this session will cover several methods of assessing for depression and identifying the cluster of symptoms associated with depression. You will learn how to better hone the diagnosis, once it is made, to determine: indicators of other mood disorders, specifiers describing current or most recent episodes; and specifiers describing the course of recurrent episodes.

Learn about the unique, gendered factors that place females at greater risk and the most current evidence based treatments including cognitive behavioral and interpersonal therapy.
