The Department of Counseling, School, and Educational Psychology at the University at Buffalo (UB), State University of New York (SUNY) seeks an accomplished scholar and an innovative leader to maximize departmental strengths and advance the vision of the broader university (see www.buffalo.edu/ub2020). Departmental faculty are leaders in their academic areas, engaging in cutting-edge research and scholarship in areas such as wellness, engagement, school-based prevention and intervention, educational policy, group counseling, multicultural competence, vocational rehabilitation, and school-to-work transition. The department includes the nationally recognized Alberti Center for Bullying Abuse Prevention and the Center on Rehabilitation Synergy, and offers graduate training through several accredited and highly ranked programs (http://gse.buffalo.edu/csep).

The successful candidate is expected to have a doctorate in Counseling, School, or Educational Psychology or a related field, a proven research record related to departmental strengths or the university’s focus on health and wellness across the lifespan, leadership experience, and teaching competence. Interest in interdisciplinary collaborative research and demonstrated record of success in securing external funding are desirable.
