The Director provides leadership, vision, and strategic direction for mental health and emotional wellness services, working collaboratively with Student Services, Deans, faculty, Wellness Programs and Student Health to foster a model of wellness that is synergistic and holistic. The Director oversees and participates in the provision of all services provided by the Student Counseling Center, including multi-culturally competent counseling, crisis intervention, consultation, referral services, and outreach programming.
The successful candidate will have a doctorate in Counseling Psychology or Clinical Psychology, five or more years of post-doctoral clinical experience, experience working in a university counseling center, and be licensed in Iowa or able to obtain licensure in Iowa within six months of hiring. Preference will be given to candidates with experience in a health science university community.
