DESCRIPTION: The responsibilities of the position include teaching core undergraduate and graduate level course in rehabilitation and human services, including clinical supervision of graduate level counselor trainees, student advising, conducting research and participating in other scholarly activities, and serving on departmental, college and university committees; participation in Council on Rehabilitation Education (CORE) and Council of Accreditation of Counseling and Related Educational Programs (CACREP) accreditation activities, and other faculty responsibilities as assigned. In addition, the successful candidate is expected to support and engage in the University’s commitment to outcomes assessment and continuous quality improvement. Summer teaching may be available.
- Doctoral degree in counselor education, rehabilitation counseling, mental health counseling, or closely related discipline and preferable from a CACREP accredited program.
- Demonstrated expertise in the field of rehabilitation and mental health counseling
- Evidence of successful experience in college/ university teaching and clinical education
- Experience in advising students, especially at the graduate level
- Ability to work collaboratively with other professionals, staff and persons from diverse backgrounds
- Demonstrate a commitment to research and scholarly activities
- Eligibility for Certified Rehabilitation Counselor (CRC) and Montana Licensed Clinical Professional Counselor (LCPC)
