The Upward Bound (UB) program at West Virginia University in Morgantown, WV is hiring an Educational Counselor. As defined in the UB grant funded by the United States Department of Education (USDoE), the UB Counselor will recruit, assess, advise, counsel and address issues of a personal and professional nature for program participants who will not have had role models who would have gone to college, who are economically disadvantaged, and are academically at-risk. The Counselor will plan, develop, implement, present, and evaluate programs and services provided for the social, cultural, and academic enrichment of the program participants in order that the program would remain in compliance with the grant as awarded by the USDoE. This position will help set and advance goals of UB and advance concepts of student development.
