ILLINOIS - WHEATON COLLEGE - Associate Professor, Clinical Mental Health Counseling Masters Program

Wheaton College (IL) is seeking to fill a full-time, tenure track faculty position for an Associate Professor in our Clinical Mental Health Counseling Masters program for June 1, 2014.  As a diverse community of faculty and students who share a faith-based commitment to professional practice as service, especially to those marginalized and wounded by society, we strongly encourage applications from groups underrepresented in higher education, including women and ethnic and racial minorities. Candidates should demonstrate a commitment to the integration of Christian faith and theology with psychology, possess a terminal degree in Counselor Education or a related discipline and have an established professional identity as a counselor educator, and be licensed or license-eligible in Illinois.

The ideal candidate will demonstrate knowledge and experience with CACREP accreditation standards and have experience in the professional development of clinical skills at the Masters level. Applicants will be primarily responsible for teaching clinical mental health core courses that may include but are not limited to multicultural issues, counseling theories, and practicum and internship supervision.  Other responsibilities include scholarship, mentoring, and providing service to the community and college.

Send letter of interest, vitae, and names of references by email to: Terri.Watson@wheaton.edu, or mail to: Dr. Terri Watson, Associate Dean, Department of Psychology, Wheaton College, 501 College Avenue, Wheaton, IL 60187.

Application forms will be sent to promising applicants. Review of applicants will begin October 15, 2013, and continue until the position is filled.
