Des Moines University, a graduate health sciences university, invites applications for the Director of the Student Counseling Center (SCC). The Director provides leadership, vision, and strategic direction for mental health and emotional wellness services, working collaboratively with the Directors of Wellness Programs and Student Health to foster a model of wellness that is synergistic and holistic.
The Director oversees and participates in the provision of all services provided by the Student Counseling Center which includes multi-culturally competent counseling, crisis intervention, consultation, referral services, and outreach programming.
The successful candidate with have a doctorate in Counseling Psychology or Clinical Psychology, seven or more years of post-doctoral clinical experience, four or more years of experience working in a university counseling center, and be licensed in Iowa or able to obtain licensure in Iowa within six months.
