Primary Therapist/Part Time

SUMMARY OF MAJOR FUNCTIONS:
Primary Therapist will be working in the Clinical Therapy Services for Rosewood Center for Eating Disorders Treatment which may include the Rosewood Inpatient, Adolescent Program, Tempe IOP or Capri Partial Residential Hospitalization site in Wickenburg Arizona.
During your training as a Primary Therapist you will be involved in providing direct patient care services and may work in the capacity of a Primary Therapist, Adjunct/Float Therapist or Case Management providing various services but not limited to: specialized groups, DBT, didactic sessions, Art and Body Image Groups, Primary Groups. You may carry a patient care caseload and provide individual sessions, treatment planning, participate in a multidisciplinary team treatment and supervision meetings and maintain chart documentation according to operational standards. Your schedule may include weekend rotation, evenings and administration “on call” rotation as part of the senior clinical staff.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
1.Establish rapport, systematically complete psychosocial assessment, gather data determine patient readiness for treatment, change, and determine if a diagnosis of substance abuse disorder is warranted under direction of seasoned Clinician.
2.Facilitates or Co-Facilitate individual and group therapy sessions with assigned groups of patients as well as co-facilitating family conjoint therapy sessions demonstrating knowledge of eating disorders and the principles and techniques of group therapy.
3.Shows knowledge and understanding of individual patient and family dynamics in the early stages of treatment.
4.Is prepared to lead disclosure sessions conjointly with Family Workshop Facilitator.
5.Conducts topic groups, displaying good theoretical knowledge of subject matter and effective communication skills in delivering material.
6.Completes all documentation including psychosocial assessments, treatment planning, progress notes and discharge summary maintaining compliance with the policies and procedures of the facility.
7.Maintains appropriate and timely communication with referral sources and other significant contacts, conveying a positive professional image.
8.Conducts individual and couples sessions.
9.Coordinate aftercare planning with aftercare coordinator.
10.Utilizes supervisory feedback to improve performance.
11.Participates as a team player in Rosewood milieu (i.e. active member of the multi-disciplinary treatment team, works harmoniously with other staff, participates in all training activities).
12.Able to receive feedback from supervision and peers in order to improve clinical knowledge and skills.
13.Attends both individual and group clinical supervision.
14.Performs other duties as assigned.
1.Masters in behavioral sciences or related field.
2.Minimum one (1) year professional experience/education in related field.
3.Minimum six (6) months experience/education working with chemical dependency.
4.Minimum six (6) months experience working with and or study of adolescents.
5.Licensed independently by the AZ Board of Behavioral Health Examiners as a professional counselor, marriage and family counselor, social worker or an associate counselor working towards licensure.
6.Physical Limitations: must be able to sit for extended periods of time.
