EAP Counselor - San Antonio, TX 32 Hours/Week

OptumHealth is currently seeking an EAP Counselor in San Antonio, TX. The EAP Counselor's responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
 
-Focusing on initial inpatient admission for psychiatric and chemical dependency patients
 
-Making patient assessments and determining appropriate levels of care
 
-Obtaining information from providers on outpatient requests for treatment
 
-Determining if additional clinical treatment sessions are needed
 
-Managing inpatient and outpatient mental health cases throughout the entire treatment plan
 
-Administering benefits and reviewing treatment plans
 
-Coordinating benefits and transitions between various areas of care
 
-Identifying ways to add value to treatment plans and consulting with facility staff or outpatient care providers on those ideas

Basic Requirements:
-Master's degree in a clinical field
-Minimum of 5 years post graduate experience in a clinical setting
-Intermediate Microsoft Word, Outlook, and Internet skills
 
Additional Preferred Assets:
-Licensed Master's degree in Psychology, Social Work, Counseling or Marriage or -Family Counseling, or Licensed Ph.D., or an RN with 2 or more years of experience in behavioral health
-Ability to build rapport, assess and address risk, and develop goals with members in a telephonic setting
-Ability to work flexibly and creatively with other professional team members
-Bilingual (Fluent in English and Spanish)
-Crisis Management background
