JOB DESCRIPTION

NADAP is a private nonprofit corporation operating employment, professional training, assessment, and case management programs in New York City and Westchester County.  Program services are provided to adult job seekers, dislocated workers, youth, public assistance recipients, workforce development professionals, and the business community.  The common goal of all NADAP programs and services is employment and workforce development.

NADAP’s programs benefit job seekers, families, communities, and businesses.  Each year more than 25,000 people receive employment-related and other services through NADAP’s programs.

NADAP’s Substance Abuse Centralized Assessment Program (SACAP) provides comprehensive assessment services to clients who may have substance abuse barriers to employment.  Chemical dependency counselors who have developed the skills and expertise required to conduct streamlined professional assessments and complete timely treatment referrals will succeed in our fast-paced setting. At SACAP, experienced CASACs interview clients referred by New York City’s HRA, applying clinical judgement to determine appropriate treatment needs and levels of care.  Our CASACs work with a variety of HRA-identified special client populations, and interact with treatment providers daily. SACAP’s primary site is in Manhattan; after initial orientation, travel and/or reassignment to satellite sites in other boroughs may be required.  An active CASAC credential is required for this position. Starting salary:  $40,000, outstanding employee benefits package, including recredentialing training and fees. Assessment team members enjoy scheduled weekday shifts.
