Position Summary The Crisis Therapist follows agency policies and procedures; provides crisis intervention and evaluation to meet the unique needs of pediatric, adolescent, adult, and/or geriatric consumers and their families. Crisis interventions are implemented in the community, emergency room, consumer residence and other areas as requested, using supervisory consultation as needed. Crisis intervention may include initial imminent risk evaluation to determine the level of danger to self, others or extent of being gravely disabled, with appropriate referrals to inpatient, outpatient and/or county designated mental health professional for involuntary inpatient investigations. Crisis intervention may include referral and/or active linking to community supports.
Minimum Requirements
Bachelor's in a mental health related field degree plus four years of related experience

Master's degree in a mental health related field plus two years of related experience
Previous Crisis experience preferred
Education/Licenses/Certifications
Bachelor's or Master's degree, depending on experience (Master's degree preferred)
MHP as defined by the Washington Administrative Code (WAC) preferred
Must possess, or be able to obtain Washington State Counselor Agency-Affiliated Registration upon hire
Current Washington State Drivers License, proof of a safe driving record (which meets established MHS Standards) obtained by a motor vehicle report from the appropriate state and proof of insurance for the transportation of clients
