Responsible to be on-call (day and night) for the entirety of time with crisis client. Responsible to be on-call during rotating weekends. This position is one that goes out into the community to provide temporary housing and other various services needed for crisis stabilization. Provide brief treatment, crisis counseling, intervention, and stabilization services to clients experiencing an acute mental health and substance abuse dysfunction. Conduct pre-screening, treatment planning, and service coordination on a regional basis.

The Crisis Therapist follows agency policies and procedures; provides crisis intervention and evaluation to meet the unique needs of pediatric, adolescent, adult, and/or geriatric consumers and their families. Crisis interventions are implemented in the community, emergency room, consumer residence and other areas as requested, using supervisory consultation as needed.
