ACA Foundation's Graduate Student Conference Scholarship Awards for the ACA 2010 Annual Conference
Entry Eligibility & Rules:
- Each entrant must be a current ACA member. (You may join ACA here before entering).
- To qualify for a 2010 Conference Scholarship Award you must be a student currently (Fall semester or quarter 2009) taking one or more graduate level courses at an accredited college or university.
- The 2010 Conference Scholarship Awards are only available to counseling graduate students who will be attending their first ACA Annual Conference. Past Conference attendees or past scholarship winners are not eligible to enter or be considered for a Scholarship Award.
- To enter you must complete the online Application Form, including the submission of an original essay on the subject of "How Will Attending the ACA 2010 Annual Conference Benefit Me?" through the online entry form. Entry length is limited to 300 words or less. Longer essays will disqualify the applicant.
- All submitted essays must be in English and become the property of the American Counseling Association Foundation. Neither ACA nor the ACA Foundation can be held responsible for any entries that are not received correctly via the entry form. Please retain a copy of your entry essay in case there should be a transmission problem.
- The Scholarship Awards consist of the waiver of registration fees for the ACA 2010 Annual Conference in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, March 18 to 22, 2010. Any additional costs associated with the Conference or Conference attendance will be the responsibility of the attendee.
- One Grand Prize Scholarship Award will be made, consisting of the waiver of registration fees for the ACA 2010 Annual Conference in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, March 18 to 22, 2010, plus providing three nights hotel stay at one of the Conference hotels during the period of the ACA 2010 Annual Conference.
- There are no cash awards nor can there be any substitution of prizes. Any taxes owed are the responsibility of the winners.
- In the event that more applications are received than there are funds for Scholarship Awards, which is likely, applications will be evaluated based on the submitted essay. Evaluations will be made by experienced counselors associated with the American Counseling Association and the ACA Foundation. The judges decisions will be final.
- Your entry must be received no later than midnight, December 30, 2009. Late entries will not be eligible nor considered for any Scholarship Awards.
